About This Grant
As part of NYPA's funding of its workforce training initiatives in the renewable energy field, NYPA is providing a pilot program opportunity with Say Yes Buffalo, Inc. to fund the SYB Youth Apprenticeship Program to serve high demand sectors in the amount of $600,000, which will partially fund a program known as the ?Say Yes Buffalo/CareerWise Greater Buffalo Modern Youth Apprenticeship Program." This program will combine paid on-the-job learning, professional mentorship, aligned educational training and credentialing, and wraparound case supports designed to ensure historically underserved youth have equitable access to and retention in secure, mid-wage, mid-skill jobs with room to grow.
