Hood River Library Planning for a New Service Model

About This Grant

The Hood River County Library System closed June 30, 2010 due to the inability of the county government to continue funding operations and support. November 2, 2010, the citizens of Hood River County voted to create a Library Special District and elected a library board. District funds will not be available until November 2011. This planning grant will help the elected Board and the County develop necessary processes, procedures and operational models based upon best practices and available funding. As a result of this planning, the County and Board will develop and implement a time line for re-establishing library services. This project has no peer evaluation.
